First Aid Training
As well as being an important life skill, first aid training is also a legal requirement for many businesses. Leyland Training Services have approved centre status with Highfield Qualifications to deliver Ofqual regulated first aid training throughout the UK. Our friendly and professional approach give learner's the confidence to provide initial assistance to the sick or injured person.
And as an employer, you are required to undertake a first aid needs assessment and where this assessment indicates that trained first-aiders are required, the level of training undertaken should be as identified in the assessment. Typically, this will be either first aid at work (FAW) training or emergency first aid at work (EFAW) training.
As an employer, you have a number of options available to you when selecting a first-aid training provider. However, to comply with your legal duties under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 that choice must be appropriate and adequate, based on a needs assessment and appropriate due diligence being conducted and as such training providers have to show an employer that they are competent to deliver first-aid training and have the relevant quality assurance systems in place. As an Ofqual regulated training provider, Leyland Training Services are subject to regular monitoring visits from the awarding organisation and can be trusted as your competent training provider.
